Mikhail Shivlyakov is a strongman representing Russia. He is a former Russian Marine who started powerlifting when he was in the army. His first big success in the sport of strongman came by winning the 2013 Arnold amateur world championship. His win earned him a spot to compete in the 2014 Arnold Strongman Classic. He also competed in his first World’s Strongest Man competition in 2014.
